The first campus blood drive of the school year was definitely a success. Our goal was 30 units, yet our Centurion donors came through with 40 units. Seniors may participate the High School Red Cord Heroes Program, in which a senior can make at least three donations during the senior year to receive a red cord that is worn at graduation ceremonies. For seniors who may not be able to donate, they can have five relatives or friends donate in their name and also receive the red cord. John Paul II High School supports the work of the Coastal Bend Blood Center’s work by hosting a campus blood drive several times each school year.
